What’s the Prosperity Catalyst All About?

Prosperity… It’s a word that’s synonymous with things like opulence, abundance and wealth; but although the Webster’s dictionary definition of the word does favor the strictly monetary aspect, many people have their own interpretations of the true meaning of prosperity (i.e. – prosperous health or prosperous relationships).

So maybe we can’t all agree on what exactly, prosperity is; but one thing that I’m sure we all CAN agree on is this… We all want it; and THAT’s what this community is all about. How can we all get our little (or not so little) piece of the Prosperity Pie? Before I go any further, let me lay my cards on the table and tell you exactly what my definition of the word prosperity is…

When I was 19 years old I bought a bunch of sound system equipment and started a mobile DJ service (it’s where I got to hone my microphone skills). I would go out and provide entertainment for parties, dances and yes… you guessed it – weddings. I DJed a TON of weddings (hundreds over the years).

It was a great gig! It was fun, I made great money, met lots of incredible people and they usually fed me too. I got to preside over these huge celebrations as two people embarked on a new life together – a life that everyone hoped of course, would be filled with prosperity. So as each night’s festivities would draw to a close, I’d always get swept up by the energy and emotion in the room and I always went out of my way to wish the bride and groom a life filled with health, happiness and good fortune. Kinda simple… but it covers all the bases don’t you think?

So there you have it… on this site, Prosperity = health, happiness and good fortune.

Now for the ‘Catalyst’ part… Technically speaking, a catalyst is an element that is introduced to increase the speed of a desired effect. Folks, in our lives the desired effect is prosperity, and I’m here to tell you that there are prosperity catalysts all around you. So in a nutshell, the purpose of the Prosperity Catalyst will be to point out those elements – the business strategies, tools and information – that can speed you along your way to a life filled with health, happiness and good fortune.

I’ve had the honor of associating with some of the most prominent people in the fields of business, marketing, medicine (both natural and traditional) and personal development; and I fully intend to draw upon each and every one of them to contribute materials to this community. It will be my priviledge to share their wisdom and knowledge with each of you.

With Great Appreciation

I’d like to take this opportunity to express my tremendous appreciation and gratitude to all of the Champions Team Leaders for your strength and perseverance during this time of transition with ITV Ventures. Every one of you who was on the phone last Monday are the true leaders of this team and this company. I commend you for your character and your vision.  You are truly part of an elite group – Those who are willing to do the things that others won’t do so they can have the things that others won’t have.

In uncertain times it can be easy to panic, run away from the situation and try to find the easy way out before the path to success is clearly revealed to us. As we know, that road isn’t an easy one.  It requires hard work, discipline, commitment, persistence, consistence and trust. These elements of the leadership within us will support and enhance each of our steps to our final destination. I don’t say this to impress you. It’s just a promise I’ve made to myself on how to live my life everyday. To “not sweat the small stuff”, because a whole bunch of small stuffs can easily add up and feel like one huge big stuff.

I’d like to give credit for the leadership qualities I have learned over the years to the many great leaders with whom I have been blessed to associate.  By sharing their trials, tribulations, victories, knowledge and wisdom with me they have taught me many incredible lessons that I can hopefully pass on to all of you.  It’s their lessons that have allowed me to recognize the same leadership qualities emerging in many of you and I can now fully appreciate all the new, upcoming leaders who share the same vision and are committed to staying the course.

One of the most valuable lessons I have learned is to keep good company.  To associate with those who support, nourish, and push one other toward their goals. Let’s face it, none of us are enjoying the current situation with ITV Ventures, yet it’s times like these that reveal the true character of those around you and let you know the exact quality of the company you are keeping.  With each of you I am now assured that I’m in GREAT, GREAT COMPANY, and I’m honored to keep moving forward to success together with you.

I like to regard adversity as a lesson.  Then you can be thankful for this wisdom you acquire and do something for yourself as you move forward.

With all that’s happening with ITV Ventures right now, I can get just as anxious as all of you.  Remember, I am an Independent Business Owner just like you, with big dreams of success for myself and my family just like yours.  We’ve all got a lot invested here…  we’ve put our time and our energy into ITV Ventures to accomplish our dreams and are steadfast in our resolve to achieve them.  Although it can be easy to become anxious, you have to remember that there are numerous people of great quality working very diligently on the way forward.

Lessons Learned from watching the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing: Part II

(Part II: Some notes collected as the games continue)

It’s now Friday morning, August 15th, and I stayed up late again last night watching Nastia Liukin and Shaun Johnson win the Gold and Silver Medals for the US in the Women’s All Around Gymnastics Competition. I found it interesting to learn that Nastia had been injured a year ago and couldn’t even perform most of the moves she so eloquently executed last night to win the gold. At one point there was doubt that she would even make the US team, now she’s the Olympic Champion. This brings to mind another prosperity catalyst you can apply in you life – perseverance.

Of course, I’d be remiss if I didn’t talk a little bit about Michael Phelps in this article. Already the most decorated athlete in Olympic History, Michael continues his quest to tie and surpass the great Mark Spitz by winning his seventh and eighth gold medal at these Olympics (and by the time you read this, you’ll know whether or not he succeeded in that quest). Whether he reaches his goals or not, Michael exemplifies the prosperity catalysts mentioned above and many many more including this one – desire.

No doubt about it folks, the Olympic Ideal is alive and well! The Games are on and they stand as a shining example of the prosperity catalysts we can all unleash in our every day lives. We’ve mentioned just a few. Here are a few more:

  • Teamwork
  • Commitment
  • Leadership
  • Purpose

It is these and many more that are so readily on display in the Olympics and we are proud to say that they are also on display within the Champions Team Family. That’s why the torch is such a prominent part of our logo.

Congratulations to all of our Olympic Champions and to all of our Champions Team Members.

Together Everyone Achieves More!

Lessons Learned from watching the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing: Part I

(Part I : The morning after the US Men’s Gymnastics Team captured an improbable bronze medal in the Team Competition)

WOW! Incredible! Unbelievable! Folks, once again I am inspired. VERY inspired!!

Olympic 2008 in Beijing

I was up late last night watching the Summer Olympics from Beijing , China . To be more exact, I was watching the men’s team gymnastics finals and to say the least, I’m completely motivated. I don’t think I’ve ever been so fired up about a bronze medal finish in my life. But nonetheless I am completely energized by what happened in that competition last night, not to mention what has already happened in these summer games, which, at the time I’m writing this, are barely 5 days old.

Let’s start with last night while it’s still fresh in my mind.

There was magic on display last night folks! There they were, the US Men’s Gymnastics Team, minus it’s two most prominent stars – defending gold medal champion Paul Hamm and his brother Morgan. The rest of the team was completely written off by everyone. The press, the so called “experts”, you name it. No one believed they had a prayer of even getting a medal without their stars. No one, that is, but the team themselves.

As the competition began, it seemed that all of the favored teams were faltering, making critical errors, including the powerhouse Chinese team. Team USA however, brought their “A Game”. This band of relative unknowns went out continuously turned in solid performance after solid performance and were without a doubt, the most consistent team of the night. There was an undeniable magic, an electricity in the air that I could feel as though I was there despite the fact that the games are being played on the other side of the world. The US Men actually led at the midway point of the competition and went on to capture the bronze medal with an incredible effort.

Jonathan Horton astonished the experts by turning in rock solid performances all night in events where he may have been shaky in the past. He credited his success to mindset, stating that he used to worry about making mistakes in different events, now he just has a positive mental attitude. He knows he’s going to do well before he even goes out on the floor and then he just goes out and does it.

Translation: He believes in himself, and in his 4 years of hard work he put in preparing for the event.

It must have been that same kind of belief that propelled the USA men’s swim team the night before in the 4 x 100m freestyle relay. No amount of trash talking by French (who were going to “smash the Americans”) or circumstances could curb their belief that they would win that race. If you didn’t get inspired by watching Jason Lezak come from behind to beat French World Record Holder (and chief trash talker) Alain Bernard, then you need to check your pulse.

Great memory for USA Gymnastics and Swimming team from Olympics 2008 (Click on the picture, watch the race and be inspired all over again)

Team, the common thread in these two stories is belief. Belief in oneself!! Belief that if you want something bad enough, you will get it because you will do everything, I mean EVERYTHING in your power to get your goal!!!

It is that kind of unwavering belief that propels these and so many other athletes to overcome incredible odds and triumph under the most difficult of circumstances. You can even think about competitors like ski-jumper Eddie “The Eagle” or the Jamaican Bobsled team, who had no chance at all in their respective competitions, but whose belief and pure love of sport and country took them to the Olympic Games, no matter what anyone else thought.

Take a moment to reflect on some of the great Champions in Olympic History…

  • Jesse Owens
  • Mark Spitz
  • Bruce Jenner
  • Carl Lewis
  • Kerri Strug
  • The 1980 US Olympic Hockey Team

Do you believe in miracles? YES!!!

Just the mere mention of those names are sure to conjure images in your mind of triumphs won, obstacles overcome and courage displayed under the greatest of pressure.

Here are a few more names; Nadia, Dorothy, Mary Lou. It was belief that allowed all those mentioned above to succeed in the arena of sport, and it’s yours that will propel you to succeed in the arena of life.

Let your belief be the prosperity catalyst that drives you to your goals.

Behaviors Great Leaders Exemplify

How can I ignore rumors and live my life in the worry free zone?

We have reached a critical stage in the development of ITV Ventures. Lets face it, this patent pending business model and as such, is a work in progress and there are individuals that did not have the fortitude to stay the course who have since decided to move on to other projects. Unfortunately these same individuals have a lot to gain by planting doubt in the minds of the IBO populus so they have decided to spread negative rumors about the ITV Ventures business.

Rumors are horrible, destructive things that can create a lot of worry in many of us. Maybe you can’t sleep at night, maybe you’ve get stomach aches or maybe you even start to see wrinkles on your face that weren’t there the before. The bottom line is rumors and their side effects are harmful to human beings. Personally, I prefer not to get caught in the rumor mill.

Being in home based business and being an entrepreneur is one of the most challenging situations that a person can put themselves into, but frankly, I love it! I love every minute of it!

I thrive on the freedom created by being my own boss. Any challenges might arise are well worth it when you consider that you can live life on your terms instead of punching a timeclock. I love get up every day knowing that I’ll learn new things and grow more than the day before. Being an entrepreneur is about growth and development, corporate America is about stagnation. That’s why they call it the “treadmill”, you run and run and run but you never seem to go anywhere.

Today I’m allowing myself to be stronger than I was yesterday. I’m allowing my wings to develop as I learn how to fly and nothing else will empower me to do all of this except being an entrepreneur.

Now back to rumors. What exactly are they? Rumors are illusions created by those who know very little yet add heaping doses of their own trials, tribulations and speculations to concoct a juicy story. Rumors are the “poison apple” for your body, mind and spirit. Are you going to take a bite? If so, then you only have yourself to blame for the consequences.

In the end, rumors are not about a company, other people or anything else. Ultimately, rumors are all about you. Remember, it’s up to each and every individual make their own choices and create their own destiny.

I have personally made a commitment to myself. To being an unstoppable force, living life in the worry free zone and moving forward everyday. How about you? What choices are you making for yourself?

Sometimes it’s hard to discern truth from rumor; fact from fiction. Please know that we are independent business owners just like you, and as such, we are committed to keeping you all up to date with the latest news and developments. To providing you with the truth so that you can make the best choices for yourself and your loved ones.

Extending our gratitude to generous Champions Team’s members

Our trip to Boston was not without its trials and we wish to extend our sincere thanks to some Champions Team members who were there to help in our time of crisis. First, we’d like to thank Dawn Santillo and Carl Messina (of BEST), who opened their arms and hotel rooms to us on Wednesday night. Our original flight out of Boston was cancelled and, worse yet, there was no room at the inn… ANY inn (it seems there was a convention in town and all the rooms were booked). We were left with no option but to wake up Dawn and Carl to see if we could bunk with them. We knocked on their doors at 2:00 AM and were greeted with smiles despite the lateness of the hour.

We’d also like to thank Bobby Poyer and his wife Kathy, who offered us a ride to the rental car lot when we decided to rent a car and drive from Boston, MA to Buffalo NY (our flight was in jeopardy of being canceled… AGAIN, and since Scott and his fiancé Aphinya had to catch a flight out of Buffalo to San Jose California the next morning, they decided not to take a chance).

There’s definitely a lesson here folks.

True friends will never let you fall, no matter how big the challenge you have to go through. Their kindness and generosity will make you stronger and allow you realize why everyday is worth living.

In the business that we are in, it is most important to associate with upbeat people of a positive mindset. Seek our people whom you can mastermind with, not to compete, not to compare, but for the greater glory of all. There’s enough room at the top for all of us, folks… Together Everyone Achieves More!
